SHEATUFIM (Strategies for Social Impact)

The challenge:

The creation of a design language for expressing the message of the 5X2  Initiative in an experiential manner that connects people.

What we did:

The 5X2 Initiative was established in 2013, with the goal of doubling the number of students finishing high school in the streams of mathematics, sciences and engineering at a level of 5 units.  The purpose of this goal was to prepare graduates of the educational system for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

The Sheatufim Organization serves as the Backbone Organization of the initiative.  According to the Collective Impact Model on which the initiative is based, the Backbone Organization functions as the “conducter of the orchestra” and as the “engine” which drives the initiative forward.

We created a unique format of meetings in a circle, in which each of the participants has an equal position and role in the circle.  To that end, we created a giant, custom designed label which reflected in its design the entire gamut of entities active in Sheatufim.  The label, which was placed on the floor of the meeting area, created a seating chart and a chart of activities for the entire event.

The results:

A unique and memorable event, whose physical format gave precise expression to the essence of the meeting and to methods of working cooperatively.
