Maala, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting corporate social responsibility in Israel, decided to hold its very first international conference. Our challenge was to produce an event that would enable attendees to explore the current state of responsible business practices in Israel, together with ongoing activities in the field. This meant developing an unconventional, innovative event format that would facilitate breakout sessions between opinion leaders, enabling free discussion regarding the progress of corporate responsibility in Israel and worldwide.
What we did:
We chose to hold the conference in Hangar 11 at the Tel Aviv Port. This massive structure made it possible to host a variety of activities simultaneously: plenary and split sessions, meetings, networking and refreshments. Ensuring that the parallel split sessions did not interfere with each other, we broadcast the sessions’ speakers via wireless headphones so each participant could select their own preferred content. For the plenum, we adopted another innovative approach, with 360° seating surrounding a central stage and four overhead screens allowing easy viewing from any position.
